What Is Chiropractic Health Care?
Chiropractic is a primary health care profession that focuses on treating disorders of the neuro-musculo-skeletal system. What does that mean?
- Neuro = nerve
- Musculo = muscle
- Skeletal = bone
Chiropractors concentrate on the interaction of the body’s muscles, bones, the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Let’s break it down even more. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat complaints of, including but not limited to, back pain, neck pain, jaw pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.
Riverside Sports Therapy Chiropractors
Our chiropractors are concerned with the intricate biomechanical function of the human nervous and musculoskeletal system. Upon diagnosis, treatment aims to strengthen the body by correcting immobility, inflexibility, and mechanical dysfunction in order to eliminate the effects that these disorders may have on the body. Optimizing the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system will allow for optimal function and performance of your body.
Each of our chiropractors has a minimum of 8 years post secondary education and specific training that provides them with the appropriate skills to specialize in the treatment of the peripheral nervous system, joints and muscles. Although chiropractors are specialists, patients do not need a referral for an initial assessment.
All of our Chiropractors are trained in Active Release Techniques, Graston Soft Tissue Mobilization, and RockTape Protocol.
