Graston Technique®
Graston Technique® is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting scar tissue or long term inflammation.
Common injuries we are able to help patients with using Graston soft tissue mobilization are caused by common repetitive movements. Some injuries caused by repetitive movements are shoulder strains, golfers elbow, tennis elbow, Achilles tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fascitis and patellar femoral syndrome. Graston technique provides a dramatic decrease in pain for people who may sit behind a computer or use a telephone for the majority of their day.
Applications for Graston Technique®:
- cervical sprain/strain
- tennis/golfer’s elbow
- lumbar sprain/strain
- rotator cuff tendinosis
- Achilles tendinosis
