RockTape® Treatments

Riverside Sports Therapy offers targeted RockTape® treatments to help stabilize injured tissues, improve movement patterns, and support muscles during physical activity.

RockTape® Treatments Calgary

RockTape® treatments Calgary and at our Cochrane location are commonly used in sports medicine and rehabilitation to support injured muscles and fascia while allowing a full range of motion. The tape is designed with a unique stretch pattern that mimics the elasticity of human skin, making it ideal for supporting muscles during activity without limiting mobility. The tape is applied strategically to support the body’s natural movement patterns and reduce strain on injured tissues.

At Riverside Sports Therapy, RockTape® may be used alongside other therapies such as chiropractic care, physiotherapy, or rehabilitation exercises to support healing and optimize movement.

RockTape® FAQs

RockTape® is designed with a specialized fabric weave that stretches in one direction but not the other. When applied properly, this creates a gentle biomechanical lifting effect on the skin.

This lifting action helps separate the skin slightly from the soft tissue beneath it, which may improve blood flow and lymphatic circulation in the treated area. Increased circulation can help support the body’s natural healing process while reducing pressure on irritated tissues.

By supporting muscles and improving circulation, RockTape® can help reduce pain, improve movement, and allow injured areas to recover more efficiently.

RockTape® may be used to support recovery from a variety of injuries, including tendonitis, ligament strains, muscle pulls, and postural issues. It is also commonly used by athletes to help support muscles during activity.

RockTape® is designed to stay on the skin for several days, even during regular activity or exercise. Most patients can wear the tape for three to five days, depending on skin sensitivity and activity level.

RockTape® treatments use a flexible kinesiology tape that moves with your body. Unlike traditional athletic tape, which is stiff and designed to limit movement, RockTape® stretches and supports muscles and joints without restricting motion. This allows people to stay active while still getting support during recovery.

RockTape® also works differently by gently lifting the skin to improve circulation and reduce pressure on painful or inflamed areas. Traditional taping mainly focuses on stabilizing or immobilizing a joint after an injury. RockTape® treatments, on the other hand, aim to reduce pain, improve movement, and support the body as it heals.
